How to Add a WiFi Zone on the TrackiPet

How to Set Up a WiFi Zone on TrackiPet Device (2.4 GHz WiFi Only)

1. Open the TrackiPet App: Launch the TrackiPet app on your smartphone or tablet.

2. Select Your Device: From the list of connected devices, select the TrackiPet device you want to configure.

3. Navigate to WiFi Settings: Look for the WiFi zone or location settings section in the app.

4. Choose WiFi Zone: Select the option to add a new WiFi zone.

5. Connect to a 2.4 GHz Network:

   • The device will scan for nearby WiFi networks.

   • Choose the 2.4 GHz WiFi network (this is the only supported band for the device).

   • Note: The device will not connect to 5 GHz networks, hotspots, or other types of non-router connections. It needs a stable 2.4 GHz WiFi router to connect.

6. Enter WiFi Details: Input the SSID (WiFi network name) and password for the 2.4 GHz router.

7. Save the WiFi Zone: After entering the details, save the settings. The device will now automatically connect to the WiFi network when it's within range.

Important Notes:

• 2.4 GHz Band: The device will only connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi networks. If this band is not available, the device won't connect.

• Router Requirement: The WiFi must come from a router. Hotspots or other non-router connections won’t work.

Now, when your device enters the WiFi zone, it will connect to the router, improving accuracy.
